We are often reminded just how versatile our system is with customers sending in DIY solutions using our products in ways even we had not thought of!. Here’s one such example sent in by Stephen Tapp of Viking Kayaks NZ…Using the Eye 25 with some modification Stephen has made a tidy rudder park solution for the Viking Kayak Profish...

Eye 25 modification to make a secure rudder park for the Viking Kayaks NZ Profish

For those that are not aware the main purpose of the rudder park is to  secure the rudder when transporting your kayak. Many SoT kayaks do not offer a secure park for the rudder so this modification is an ideal and affordable one, the Viking Kayaks Profish comes standard with the StarPort recess mounted  at the stern of the kayak for our Flagwhip.….when the rudder stay is not needed simply remove the Eye 25 and replace it with the Flagwhip this is a great example of re-tasking the StarPort.
